About
"isidewith.com" was a website we first used when we started this project. We answered different types of political questions to see which candidate fits us the most. When I filled out the survey, Hillary Clinton was the strongest candidate that was most value to me.
To me what patriotism means is you would be all in for your country, be there to protect when needed, defend our nation and value for our people. Patriotism in this case was to see which candidate our people will choose and believe is the most dominant and protective for our country.
Part of being an educated voter is actually knowing the TRUTH and sadly identifying the various degrees of TRUTHs that candidates often say. One might say something that could make you believe is correct but if you do some research and look at different resources, you will be surprised on the real truth.

Project Description
2016 is a BIG year, and I mean HUGE. As polarizing as this election has been, we are all in an agreement that the 2016 ELECTION is a very unique and interesting circumstance. In our class, the many Who, What, Why, and How this election came to be will be studied and even investigated.
Who will WIN? Well, at our school – at least, it will depend on YOU and your functioning campaign team.

ROLES: running a CAMPAIGN is like running a corporation. If you don’t work together efficiently & effectively, your business will FAIL.
Presidential Candidate: The candidate is responsible for representing the campaign team during the debate on November 2nd and 7th. S/he will help research and OWN who you are and acknowledge your opponents’ information too. S/he will be the Face of the Presidential candidate and maintain and ensure SUCCESS throughout the campaign trail and must be prepared to deliver the opening and closing statements at each debate.
Vice Presidential Candidate: It is this person’s duty to pump up the facts for the candidate and help her/him write the position speech for the debate. In addition, as VP you will also be facing off with the opponents VP and further support the President in winning the election. - Campaign Manager: this person’s role is to pull the campaign together and hold it together. An effective Campaign Manager communicates with everyone, making sure the staff knows what to do, that the candidate is “on track,” and that the outside world has a positive view of the campaign. There should be regular staff meetings, reviewing the Campaign Plan, making alterations and discussing potential problems
- Political Field Department: Research and write each platform. Provide information to the campaign team on issues.
- Field Experts: become the expert in this issue and know where your candidate stands and where the opponent stands on the issue. You will be debating these issues.

Self Reflection:
Throughout this Election Project, I have learned so much about fact checking and our candidates. I have used this tool not only in our project but outside of classroom. Fact Checking made me feel more educated in this election, you can have a candidate say whatever he or she wants but you never know if they are telling the truth. So this is where fact checking comes in handy, where you can find resources and facts to prove a candidates statement correct or incorrect. One of the challenging parts in this project I had to overcome was finishing the Truth Campaign Ads because we had very little time to finish our videos and we worked twice as much on it. I even stayed after school and gave up my lunch time to finish it. From this project, it brought me to a deeper understanding to our candidates position. It made me realize it from a bigger picture then seeing it from one perspective. Right now, I just hope that our nation can still have better relations for eachother and not have racial profiling. The winning candidate is not in office right now so I can't really speak for their actions just yet but I just hope that the country will be equal.
Exhibition/HTHI Debate Reflection
I felt like everything was ran through perfeclty but the debate room was very crowed for some people. Some family members were standing up in the back of the room which was unfair. On my part, I like that we organized the tables of the truth campaign ads and that went very well to get people where they wanted to be. What I didn't like is that we only had 1 headphone per video because it kept many people to wait and the videos were 2-4 minutes long. The HTHI Debate went some-what well because the microphones kept cutting off which I guess the audicence found it hiliarious while we were trying to be serious. What I also didn't like is how some people didn't get a chance to talk in the free round which sucks because they don't have a saying in those 2 minutes debating. Other than that, I felt like the whole organization went very well and the looks (clothing) were professional.
