There are some limitations that I can overcome editwise. Currently I am editing a documentary and I've never edited one before so I was so far it's challenging. We planned out how the video will look so for now we are just trying to reach that goal. We have many equipments needed for this video and using these equipments are challenging. One of the equipment we are using is a wireless mic that we put on the people that we are interviewing. We also have a board clapper to help us match the sound and sync it in when we edit. There's a lot of things that are really challenging but for the most part it is really worth it because not only do we sweat it out but we gain a lot of experience and knowledge on how to shoot a professional documentary.

In this photo I am holding one of the best coffees ever made... just kidding, I got it from the gas station. But here you can see that I am in a classroom that I always work in everyday with other interns.
One of the biggest challenge that I have to face is always being proactive. I am very skilled at graphic design and editing so I normally finish everything quickly. It's hard for me to stay on task when I finished because I don't have anything in front of me. Another challenge that has been thrown at me was making a movie banner for the first time. I made a banner for the movie "Arrival" from scratch and what I liked about it is that when I showed it to my Intern Advisor, she thought that I copied it from google and paste it on photoshop. I felt very complimented but even though they thought it looked very professional, I also gave feedback to myself and it was just a challenge on making something look professional on the first try.
It is 7:45 am and this is what I do in the morning. I take selfies and I read blog posts. In this picture, you can see me and a projector, that's my best bud.
Uriel: He is interning at Point Loma Veterinary Clinic and he is helping out to rescue animals. He wants to learn as much as possible about surgeries and when I read one of his blogs it's interesting to see that at first he hated to see blood but now he has overcome that. Oscar: What I first knew about Oscar is that he was a really shy person but when I read his blog, he said that challenged himself to overcome that and he did. Oscar works at KIPP and so far what I learned from his internship is that they work in a small space and one of his jobs is to reach out to many of different contacts and from what I'm reading I can already tell that Oscar will definitely overcome any shy bubbles by the end of the internship. Kenneth: He is interning at High Tech Elementary, and he is giving kids lessons on math and other categories. He also arranges meetings with him and helps them on any of their projects. I can see that Kenneth is having an awesome time experiencing what it's like to be a teacher. He always has a positive attitude and his mentality is a great trait for this community. I'm usually the first one that arrives and it's always this lonely. But this is where I work and in the morning it's quite and that's where it's the best part of my day... no offense to the other interns but it's true.
In this photo you will see a room where there are a table and chairs around it. You might think this is where we have our meetings but lately I haven't seen them have it here. This room is located downstairs and normally we have our meetings upstairs. Kids from camps usually uses this room to play and record.
So far, at my Internship I have developed creativity from looking at movie banners and to grab Ideas off of. Yesterday I have created an Ad Poster for my video that I have made. It's about teen gambling and how bad it can get because it is very addictive. This video was to send a message to people and to give them all the knowledge you need to have before making a mistake. I feel like I will be more creative by the end of the internship by looking at examples that they give me so I know how to make cleaner posters. I will also learn how to take cleaner B-Rolls shots for videos (B-Rolls are cinematic shots that you can use when someone is talking).
At MACSD there can be some social interactions from employees to employees, but normally what I see when I walk out my room is that these workers are really focus into their work. In the mornings, my mentor Kania always welcomes me and sometimes we have conversations about football or anything that will happen during the day. But most of the time during the day these workers do not socialize a lot and they are always on task of their work. They always check up on me and my partners to either get an update or to tell us something important. The MACSD employees work in a space that is opened for eachother, each employee has their own desk but they can communicate across the room. When they socialize, honestly I haven't really seen it that much but when they do talk to eachother it is always about work or upcoming projects.
in this photo you will see stairs and those will lead you to other rooms that has more computers so kids that come in for camp can use them. I usually work upstairs where only MACSD employees can go and those employees also have their own personal space here too.
